Data Conversations: Estonian National Museum helps to increase the societal impact of the cultural sector
The Data Conversations bring together creative and cultural organisations, universities and sectoral networks across Europe. During the project, a new interactive tool DIDACT will be created, which will help cultural organisations to plan and assess the impact of their activities by making effective use of existing and collected data. In addition, creative data collection methods that engage the audience will be developed, an artistic residency will be carried out, and cultural professionals will be trained in data-driven practices, audience engagement and the application of artificial intelligence.
"Data Conversations help organisations make informed data-based decisions," explained Pille Runnel, Research Director of the Estonian National Museum. "In addition, data is no longer collected just for reporting, but becomes part of creative thinking. Data Conversations help culture and technology meet in a way that strengthens trust and brings audiences closer."
In addition to the Estonian National Museum, Fondazione Sistema Toscana (Italy, lead partner), Domestic Data Streamers (Spain), Malmö University (Sweden), University of Florence (Italy), In2Digital Innovations (Germany), Europeana (Netherlands) are participating in the project funded by the European Union's Creative Europe programme in 2025–2027.
