The Estonian National Museum invites young creative professionals to apply for the artistic residency of the project Data Conversations, which will take place in Pisa, Italy, from 1 to 10 October 2026. As one of the project partners, the Estonian National Museum will select ten creative professionals to participate in a programme of artistic research and development aimed at exploring new creative ways for cultural organisations to better understand their audiences — moving beyond traditional questionnaires toward more meaningful and engaging forms of data collection.
Applications are open to legal residents of EU Member States who are between 18 and 30 years old at the time of the deadline, with backgrounds in fields such as visual arts, design, digital art, architecture, advertising, communication or other similar creative and research‑based disciplines. The working language of the residency is English.

Applicants are asked to submit a completed application form, a copy of an identity document, a CV, a motivation letter, a portfolio, and a short description of their field of activity. Participation is free of charge. The organisers cover accommodation and meals, and travel support is provided in accordance with the call conditions. Applications are open until 31 May 2026 17.00 CET, and selected participants will be announced in June.

Data Conversations is a project co‑funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme, running from March 2025 to November 2027. The project aims to help the cultural and creative sectors use data in more creative, accessible and human‑centred ways, and to develop new tools, methods and forms of collaboration to support this. The Estonian National Museum (ERM) is one of the six project partners.
